Description of a Safari in Botswana
Botswana is such an incredible country to visit and is perfect for a safari. Botswana safaris are so incredible, imagine flying on a light aircraft into the heart of one of the world's last remaining great wilderness areas, hunderds of miles from the closest civilisation. Its a land where well over 90% of the wildlife roams free, untouched by modern civilisation.
Food
National Dish
Many national dishes in Africa are based on meat and maize and Botswana's national dish is no different. The national dish of Botswana is Seswaa.
Morogo
Morogo is a food that comes from a country where many of the population were poor and meat was considered something of a luxury. The dish is quite bland and should suit unadventurous eaters.
Main Meal
The main meal is generally eaten at lunchtime traditionally, and leftovers or bread and tea are eaten at dinner. Many tourists only eat relatively upmarket cuisine at lodges or else self cater if they are doing a self drive safari.
Atractions

In the summer....... go to Chobe National Park, in northern Botswana, has one of the largest concentrations of game in Africa. By size, it is the third largest park in the country. Their are many camps in Botswana. Here are some. There is Jack's Camp, Mombo Camp, and Kings pool camp. Remember that is only a few. Someone described Jack's camp like this "This place is absolutely amazing. Our guide, Super, was the best guide I have ever had. He was a walking, talking about of all things Botswana. He knew every plant, animal, bird, etc. etc. etc. he was fun, entertaining and a fascinating person to get to know. When we arrived, the Makgadikadi Pans were completely dry." This is what people think of Botswana camps.
