Health Office Reminders

Just a quick reminder that all students not feeling well during the day should head to the Health Office before getting picked up by a parent. The health office will help determine if a student should be sent home for further care.

Charger Yearbook 22-23

The Charger Yearbook is now available to order online here using code 12299523. The yearbook is hardcover and costs $35.00. If your student did not get their picture taken or they are new to Chippewa, we can still get them in the yearbook! You can either have them swing into the front office to get a picture taken or you can email our yearbook coordinator at nic.seeley@moundsviewschools.org with a headshot of your student.

“Let’s Talk About It”-Understanding Marijuana

There has been a conversation in our legislation for some time now around legalizing marijuana in Minnesota. Whatever the outcome or your stance on legalization, it is important to understand how marijuana use is of concern to our students. In order to begin the conversation at home and to help educate our students, it would be of benefit to know the facts about this topic. Click here to find out more about marijuana use today, and the challenges it poses, in and outside of the school setting.

Mental Health Walk

My name is Iris Ren, a current Senior at Mounds View High School and a part of the Entertainment committee for the 2023 Mental Health Walk. One of our projects is the Mental Health Art gallery where we display students' original artwork concerning mental health. In the past, we limited entries to Mounds View High schoolers only, but we hope to expand the opportunity to Chippewa middle schoolers, too. If your students are interested in submitting art work you can find more information here: https://forms.gle/6gmKZS783PYu4nUn6.

After School Academic Support

Chippewa offers after-school academic support three days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. • Students must plan for a ride home by 3:45pm.
