News From the LRC
Due Date
Today was the last day for students to check out library books this year. All books are due back to the library on Tuesday, May 28. Students can review their library account at any time to see what titles are still under their names by logging into Alexandria. Students can log-in using their standard username and GV password. Students who still have books out after May 31, will be asked to pay for the missing/lost titles. If students pay for missing/lost books and find them before the end of the school year you will be given a refund.
A Big Thank You to the Library Council
Once again the Library Council representatives did an amazing job. The students were dedicated to improve the library, the school and even the community at large by running a pajama drive collecting over 100 pairs and collecting over $700 to purchase books for Lurie Children’s Hospital. Authors Visit
On Tuesday, May 14, author Jennifer A. Nielsen spoke to the fourth and fifth grade students. She shared the history behind the building of the Berlin Wall and the Polish resistance during World War II. Students were amazed that history could be so fascinating. Check out her two historical titles, A Night Divided and Resistance. The PTA generously donated both titles to each fourth and fifth grade classroom.

Mandatory Health Forms for 2019 - 2020 Incoming 6th Graders
Please remember that all incoming 6th grade students MUST have a physical examination (within the last 12 months), including required vaccinations, turned in prior to August 21, 2019.
