What to Wear......
Everyone should have ordered a cap/gown from Alabama Balfour. This package includes cap, gown, tassel, and stole. If you have not, it is critical that you do so immediately! You can contact Alabama Balfour at 1-205-733-1060 or email@example.com. This is a different vendor than what Athens High School uses. You will need to provide them with your height and weight when placing your order.
Caps and gowns will be distributed after our 1st practice on Friday, May 17th. Young men are expected to wear black slacks, black socks, black shoes, a white button down shirt and a dark tie. Young ladies should wear a black dress or black slacks with black shoes. No flip-flops allowed. Stoles should be safety pinned to the back of the gown so that they do not shift or fall off. Ladies should bobby pin their caps to their hair. Young men will have to remove their caps. Tassels go on the right side of the cap.
*** In order to practice and participate in the commencement ceremony, you must have completed all required coursework, CCR requirements, and the Civics Exam. There is currently no limit to the number of guests that you may invite. Doors will open promptly at 6 PM.
