The year is off to a great start. As an educational institution, we closely monitor student absenteeism, as it is a critical component to student success. Our parents do a great job of notifying us when students are ill or absent for various other reasons. Since we do monitor our attendance rate closely, we provide our parents with scheduled updates on their student’s attendance rate if it falls below 90% via an “attendance letter”. Please understand that our process is to generate these letters for all students, no matter the reason for their absence. This way our parents can stay updated on what school records reflect. Please contact our office if you have any questions regarding attendance.

Counseling Department Newsletter:

Families on the Free and Reduced Lunch program are required to complete their F/R lunch applications EVERY school year. Right now students who received Free or Reduced lunch last school year should still be receiving F/R lunch beginning of this school year. However, their lunches will only remain F/R until September 30th, unless they are direct certified through the state then you do not need to submit an application. If you have not completed a new application for this school year, then the student's lunch account status will revert back to "full pay" after September 30th. New F/R lunch applications can be completed at any time throughout the school year, but the sooner, the better, to avoid any confusion or inconvenience! This year's F/R lunch application can be found in the front office or at: http://plattecountyschooldistrict.com//site/Default.aspx?PageID=3116.

LUNCH ROOM notes...

Options for paying for student lunches:

Students dropping off lunch money need to put their money in the drop box (outside the front office) when they get to school or after 1st hour to be sure it is entered that day. If money is dropped off later, it will be applied the next morning. Please make sure your name is in the memo of the check! When placing cash in the envelopes, print your name CLEARLY on the line, and include grade and amount you are depositing.

**Money should not be handed to the Clerks. Please deposit money in the drop box.**

Lunch Prices and Menus can be found on the website (click here)

**Students wanting to purchase 'a la carte' items must have a positive balance in order to make a la carte purchases. Students may charge up to 6 tray lunches.
