More communication about the elementary 1:1 program will be forthcoming; in the meantime, please visit the HSE School Corporation website to find more information about HSE21 and HSE’s 1:1 program.
For families who choose to provide their own iPad, device requirements are as follows:
Model: (Full-sized) iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4 (iPad Retina), iPad Air, or iPad Air 2
Memory Size: 16 GB or greater
Internet: Firewalls and filters will enable secure use of Wi-Fi at school. Therefore, no additional
purchase of data plans/cellular/3G/LTE connection is needed."
Your help is needed to continue to strengthen the high quality of excellence to which our students and staff are well accustomed! Advance HSE, a PAC for our growing schools, is looking for willing volunteers and supporters to help out with the potential spring referendum vote. If you are interested, please contact Sneha Shah at sneha_shah@icloud.com. Commitment can vary from from small to large based on the discretion of the volunteer. Thank you for your time!
The PTO would like to send a BIG thank you to all of those who attended Tuesday night’s Open Forum meeting. There was an amazing turnout to this meeting and we couldn’t have been more thrilled to see so many people engaged in making a difference at CRES. If you were unable to join us at this month’s meeting, please mark your calendars and join us for our next Open Forum Meeting on January 5, 2016 at 7:00pm. Childcare will be provided by the YMCA.
We are pleased to announce the winner of the Riley Traveling Trophy for most parent/guardian participation at this week’s PTO Open Forum meeting. The Riley Traveling Trophy will be visiting Ms. Snair’s 1st grade classroom! Congratulations to Ms. Snair’s class, and thank you for attending the Open Forum meeting.
Calling all shoppers and eaters! Help your Cumberland Road Elementary School earn education rewards this year to support our students’ dreams and our teachers’ needs! You can help our school reach our goal of $3000 in one or more quick ways. It only takes a few minutes to send your Box Tops in to school or register your store cards from Target, Marsh or Kroger and designate CRES as your school.
Please see the attached Education Rewards flyer for more information on how you can use the money you are already spending to generate money and rewards for our school. Please contact Tracy Butler at tracybutlerconsulting@gmail.com, if you have any questions.

Congrats to Mrs. Carrell and Mrs. Knutson's first graders who won the shoe race in PE class! They were responsible PE students and remembered to wear their tennis shoes on PE day. Tennis shoes make for safe feet in PE. Ask your child to explain the shoe race. The class won a giant pair of basketball shoes that were worn by an Indiana Pacer basketball player. They are a size 17!!!! Keep up the good work being responsible and safe PE students!!! -Mrs. Fox
