News You Can Use

PLE Observations

I started doing PLE observations last week. The plan is to observe one day, and give feedback the next time I am there. Plans never seem to work out quite right, however. Just know that I will be following up, even if only through email.

This is not an evaluation, but a tool to help you identify how you are already personalizing learning and what you can do to further personalize learning in your classroom.

You can find the form that I will be using here. I would also like to see lesson plans, if available, so that I know what to expect. That's not a requirement, but it will help me!

If you have a preference of when you would like me to observe you, please let me know as soon as possible.

Also let me know if you have any special areas that you would like feedback on.

Amplify Update

Timer Update - The classroom tool timer now appears as a native Android notification. Amplify has eliminated the floating timer window that would appear in the bottom right corner of the screen. Please see the photo below to see what the new timer looks like and where it appears.

If you have any suggestions or feedback for Amplify, you can use the support button on your tablet or email them.

Helpful Tip of the Day: Students that have put their tablet into Safe Mode to avoid Classroom Tools will appear as a blank box in the teacher's Classroom Manager
