ANNOUNCEMENT OF SPRING OPTIONAL TESTING FOR IDENTIFICATION OF GIFTED STUDENTS
Although your child may or may not have taken the CogAT in December, you may request that your child be tested on the Otis-Lennon School Ability Test (OLSAT). If you wish to have your child participate in this round of testing, all requests must be made through the below online link by March 21, 2018. In order to decrease disruption to your child's instruction, this testing opportunity will take place prior to the start of the school day. We have scheduled this 45-50 minute testing session to be administered from
8:00 to 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 3.
Please CLICK HERE to register.

PTO NEWS & NOTES
PRIVATE SCREENING!
PARENTS: SAVE THE DATE! Tuesday, March 20, 7:00 p.m.
The PTO is excited to bring SCREENAGERS, a candid documentary discussing the impact of screen time on our children, to Montgomery Elementary this Spring. The award-winning film dives deeply into the vulnerable aspects of family life and depicts the messy struggles over social media, video games, and academics. It offers solutions on how we can help our kids navigate the digital world. A short discussion will follow the movie, led by Montgomery school counselor, Beth Hill. Please note: This private screening is intended for adults only. Visit this link to reserve your seat!

BOX TOPS MARCH MADNESS
March Madness is coming to Montgomery Elementary March 6th-9th! Mark your calendars and start collecting those Box Tops. Ask your family, ask your friends, ask your neighbors... we don't care where they come from as long as they are submitted to Montgomery Elementary! The bracket will be drawn and homerooms will compete for the coveted "Clip It" Trophy (on display in the case under the stairs), AND a Pick a Party (winning homeroom teacher will decide). Please check last week's Thursday folders or click here for more detailed information. Contact Caroline Tyler with questions.
