MCA Weekly Wrap-Up!
Primary & KinderPrep Family News - Jan. 25, 2018
This morning we had the honor of hosting the ACSI District Spelling Bee. It was a great time of celebrating the hard work of our spelling scholars across the region. Thank you to Mrs. Sutton for doing a wonderful job of coordinating the day, and special thanks to all of the families and staff who participated in the event. Congratulations to MCA's own Regan Rieder, who won first place overall, and Cole McNickle, who tied for 5th place overall. We are very proud of all of our MCA participants!
This weekend we have lots more opportunities for family fun at Maranatha! Please consider bringing the whole gang to the basketball games tonight, and the Whoville Carnival on Sunday! Scroll down for all the details!
It's been a wonderful week to be an MCA Eagle!

The Varsity basketball gentlemen achieved a milestone this week by being ranked #10 in the state for the first time in school history. Coach Thompson told the staff, “They are doing amazing things through the power of their Father!”
The Shawnee Dispatch ran a great article about our men’s basketball team and included that Jackson, Hou, Maggie Friesen, and Aaliyah Buckner were all named to the all-tournament team last weekend. See the article at: http://www.shawneedispatch.com/news/2018/jan/21/maranatha-wins-mclouth-invitational-boys-basketbal/

Important News about the Auction!
We are postponing the Auction that was scheduled in March, to later this fall. We are actively soliciting and collecting donations for silent and live auction items that will be used this fall at the Auction Dinner. If you have items to donate, please email Kim Ciston or Stephanie Marks at email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org. They will be thrilled to hear from you as we are still in need of many auction items especially some Chiefs and Royals packages and memorabilia. Do you have a contact who could help with that?
How can you get involved and be a part? So glad you asked!
There will be two opportunities for you to attend an Auction Launch Meeting. We need “all hands on deck” to make this be the greatest yet! We need your talents and energy and our hope is to create community through involvement. Whether you are brand new this year or you’ve been a MCA parent for twenty years, we want you to get involved. We need you! We’re excited about the direction our two, parent, co-leaders have taken and want to involve the entire MCA community.
Please mark your calendars and plan to attend one of these meetings:
Wednesday, January 31st, at 3:00 pm in the Secondary School Conference Room (south campus)
Thursday, February 1st, at 7:00 pm in the Secondary School Conference Room (south campus)
