Help Build Our Prairie Trails Community
Socially distanced lunch time... Please send a small beach towel!
Please help keep our students and staff safe!
Do not send your child to school if they show any new symptoms of illness: fever, runny nose, congestions, sore throat, headache, stomach ache, muscle/body aches, nausea, diarrhea, loss of taste/smell. The Covid Delta-variant looks very much like a cold or seasonal allergies. Please err on the side of caution when your child has new symptoms.
Additional Safety Practices:
All River Trails students, teachers and staff will be required to wear a mask indoors and on busses regardless of vaccination status.
Only essential school visitors will be allowed in the schools and are required to wear masks.
Masks will not be required for outdoor activities, such as recess & outdoor class.
All students will be eligible for remote learning if they are required to quarantine after being exposed to the virus, regardless of vaccination status.
The district still intends to implement weekly COVID-19 saliva screening tests through Shield Illinois for unvaccinated students and staff.
Afternoon School Car Pick Up

Child Tax Credit
CHILD TAX CREDIT
Raising kids can be expensive, and the Child Tax Credit is here to help. President Biden’s American Rescue Plan increased the amount of the 2021 Child Tax Credit to support families with children. The full benefit of the Child Tax Credit is now $300 per month per child under age 6 and $250 for each child age 6 to 17.
The Child Tax Credit has been expanded to $3,000 per child 6-17 years old and $3,600 per child under 6. All working families will get the full credit if they make up to $150,000 for a couple or $112,500 for a family with a single parent. That means that nearly 90 percent of children in the U.S. will automatically receive the new child tax credit.
