Empower All People to be Healthy, Lifelong Learners
Kia kaha - do your best * Kia mÄia - be courageous * Kia manawanui - have a heart
From our Principal
Kia ora koutou,
Thank you all for a great first week back of reconnecting, movement, creativity, reflecting and manaaki. We have really enjoyed being back and doing what we love - teaching and empowering kids
The rhythm for the first few days has been great, with lots of time for the students to reconnect with their friends, the environment and their teachers.
We have also been delighted to welcome several new whanau to our community with 14 new students starting with us this week.
A big thanks to our teachers for making people feel welcome and setting up the learning spaces and programmes and to all the tamariki and whanau for sticking to our Level 2 rules.

Level 2 Rules
Thank you to everyone for playing their part.
8.40am is the earliest you can be at school
Please don't arrive before 8.40
Even if you are only here for a minute, you must sign in, either at the Office or on any of the sign in sheets outside classrooms, or by scanning the QR code.
If you can, please drop your tamariki off outside the gate or encourage them to walk, bike or scoot to school.
During Level 2 we will not have shared kai and we will not be heating up or preparing kids food for morning snack or lunch.
Please remember that all students need a drink bottle for the day. The water fountain refilling taps are open, but the direct drinking spouts are off limits and covered up.
If your child is unwell, please keep them at home. If your child appears to be unwell at school, we will send them home.
Keep those Hands Clean!

Totara 3 - The Puketapu Story
A Poem by Noah Gomez - Kowhai 4
The grass is green,
The posts on the field are white.
The leaves are green,
and fresh as life.
The inside of rooms,
are happy and light.
The sky is bright like you.
You are standing here.
We are Puketapu School.
Noah wrote this great poem about his favourite place in Bell Block, and that is Puketapu School!

This Access Key will display all the photographs of your child, including sibling photos. It is then an easy process for you to shop online and purchase the photographs you want.
If you place your order within three weeks of receiving your Access Key you will receive free delivery for your photo orders. PhotoLife sends all these orders back to the school and your child will bring their photographs home.
Any orders placed after this three week period will be sent directly to your specified delivery address and PhotoLife will charge you $6.00 delivery.
Sports Corner
Winter sports Update
At this stage Taranaki sports clubs are working together to make sure all sports have an opportunity to operate. They are working under the direction of Sport Taranaki who in turn are taking direction from Sport New Zealand. There are huge logistics around social distancing of both players and spectators. Some sports are needing to be modified to change team sizes so there is a lot to do for all of these organisations.
It is very unlikely that there will be any team sports until Term 3 however as information comes to me I will share it with you. Once we know dates, costs and logistics then we will ask for interest from our children and coaches. Until then working on fitness and ball skills at home is a great idea.

Cruizin' Cuizine - Healthy, Affordable, Interesting Lunches Delivered
How it works:
1. Register
Register yourself or one or more children to confirm where lunch will be delivered. We require your contact telephone number and email address to send order and payment confirmations. For children we need a school and class, for offices a business name.
2. Choose Menu Items to Make Lunchbox
Browse our menu items online every term and select the items you would like. You are able to custom make a sandwich, wrap, roll & salad or you can select from the items that we have on offer.
It is our aim that lunch will be affordable and nutritious as well as tasting great. Most main items are priced at around $5, and smaller items are $3 or less.
There is more detailed information on our ordering page.
3. Select a delivery date
You can order one lunch, or multiple lunches in advance if you wish. Ordering is available up until 8:00am on the day of delivery.
Lunches are delivered directly to your office reception or school in hygienic containers, labelled with you or your children's details.
4. Confirm your order and payment
Payment is made using a wallet system, or PayPal.
You can top up your wallet (after creating an account) using PayPal, a secure banking gateway, accepting Debit card, Visa and MasterCard. Or you may simply pay for your order at the time using PayPal.
We will then generate an email confirming your order and payment.
5. Relax while we do the rest!
