Waukesha North High School
2021-2022
Kristin Higgins, Principal
WNHS Families,
As we inch another week closer to the start of the 2021-2022 school year, I hope you and your family have enjoyed the beautiful weather that Wisconsin has to offer. It has been a busy summer here on the North campus. Our Building and Grounds and Custodial crews have done an excellent job updating our facility and deep cleaning our entire building. Our teachers, counselors, administrators, and secretaries have been busy planning for what will no doubt be an exciting 2021-22 school year, committed to our mission of developing in our students the capacity and skills to be community, college and career ready. Through critical thinking, innovation, and collaboration, it is our goal to inspire and empower students to excel both academically and socially, while preparing them for their futures.
To our new students and families to Waukesha North High School, welcome! To our returning 10th, 11th, and 12th graders, I am confident you will continue to grow your own leadership acting as role models for our incoming Freshmen and continuing to be positive contributors to our school community.
As students transition back to school, in what will hopefully be a more “normal” school year, there will be a large focus on establishing strong relationships and reacclimating students back to school routines. Please be reminded the doors at Waukesha North High School will open at 7:25 AM Monday-Friday. Students will have 30 minutes to have stop at their locker to drop off coats, backpacks, and lunches. Developing and maintaining routines are key indicators of student success. All students are expected to be in their first hour and ready to learn by 7:55 AM, "Two Feet in the Classroom Door."
As a staff, we are excited to work with families as your child experiences exciting academic, social, and emotional growth on their journey through high school. Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We are partners in ensuring all of the students at Waukesha North High School have a great experience!

School Traffic Patterns
Our goal is to provide a safe and smooth experience for our student drivers and for our parents picking up children at the end of the day. Navigating school traffic patterns requires the cooperation and patience of both student drivers and parents who choose to use the student parking lot of of Michigan Avenue.
Student Drivers
The first 6 rows of the parking lot is reserved for student drivers who purchased a parking pass (see the green area of the map below). Upon dismissal at lunch or at the end of the day, students must exit the parking lot by using the west Michigan Avenue exit.
Parent Pickup
Parking in fire lanes is illegal and drivers will not be allowed to park or idle their cars in these emergency lanes. At the end of the day, students must walk over to the Parent Pick Up area (Blue area below rows 7-10) to locate their ride.
Although there is no “perfect” flow to traffic, the procedures outlined above have proven to be the most safe and efficient when followed by all.
Understanding Important Changes To Our Program After July 15th
Method Test Prep prepares students for everything that they will face on the ACT and SAT with detailed lessons touching on all of the concepts tested on the exams, along with dozens of quizzes featuring thousands of practice questions, each with explanations of the right answer. To help stay motivated and identify the topics on which they are improving and on which they still need work, students can click the horizontal blue bar at the top of their dashboard to see detailed reports on their progress on these lessons and quizzes.
Students can filter their results by date with the choices being “This School Year” or “All Time Data”. Effective July 15th, a new “school year” started which might cause students to think that their progress has disappeared, but it hasn’t! Students should just change the date filter (if necessary) to “All Time Data” so that they can see the results of all of the work that they have done on the program.
