Honoring Our Veterans

Veterans Day is around the corner. Smith is preparing to honor the Veterans in our lives with our annual Veterans Remembrance ceremony and the amazing photo tribute wall. If you were at Smith last year, Mrs. Pelias has your tribute and will use it again.

If you are new to Smith and have a relative who has served in the United States military, please take time to honor them. We will have these tributes displayed in the library for all to see. Attached you will find a tribute form to fill out. Please use a photo that you don't expect to have returned. (no heirloom photos/only copies).

Please see the SAMPLE form attached in email from your child's homeroom teacher. Print the tribute form in color, fill it out according to the sample, adhere a copy of a photo and return to the library before November 7, 2018.

Thank you for helping us honoring those who have served in the US Military.

Last Chance to Donate!

Money is due tomorrow, October 26th! Please send in your yellow folder with cash or check donations. You don't need to send in the packet if all donations are online. Thank you so much for all of the generous contributions!

Burrr!

As we enter the fall season, morning temperatures are slowly dropping. Because we have early recess at 10 am, please help your child remember to bring a jacket to school. Those cloudy mornings can feel frigid on the playground!
