State Accreditation on Wednesday
Every 4 years, the State conducts an evaluation of schools to determine accreditation status. St. Louis School will be going through the State (AdvancEd) accreditation process next week, on Wednesday, September 27. A team of educators will be here to look at every aspect of our school. The day will be filled with tours, classroom visits, and interviews.
We will be doing a Wednesday/Friday schedule flip to accommodate the Accreditation Team's request to have students and teachers in the classroom as much as possible. The schedule switch moves the all-school Mass to Friday (9/29), thus having more students in class on Wednesday during the evaluation.
I wanted to keep you informed of what is happening and will publish their finding as soon as we get them.
Classic Pizza Night
Next Tuesday (9/26/17) is St. Louis School Night at Classic Pizza. From 4:00-8:00 owner Chris Gillman will donate 20% of all proceeds back to SLS. SLS staff will be waiting tables and any tips also go straight to SLS. This year the staff is working to help Mrs. Brooks get a new Spanish curriculum for grades 2-5. She loves the new K-1 program she used last year and would like to expand to more grades. Thank you for your continued support for this fundraiser.

Library News--Fall Book Fair
It was great seeing all the dads at our "Donuts for Dads" event on Tuesday morning. It was evident by the smiles we saw on the students' faces, that they were thrilled as well.
Here is a very fitting quote we'd like to share about Dads.......
"Dads carry pictures where their money used to be. Dads swing us higher than moms ever would. Dads love us through difficult times. Dads do without or buy secondhand to provide for things their children need. Dads encourage with a gentle hand, a listening heart, and a laugh generous with joy."
Thank you!
