Edmond Doyle News 3-2-2017

Happy Birthday Dr. Suess! Today is Dr. Suess's birthday and in honor of the man that helped a lot of us learn how to read and enjoy reading we are wearing red and having a special lunch! Ms. Billos has gotten every child a new book to take home today. We all appreciate her using her resources to bring us good books to read! Thanks Ms. Billos-we love you!!

Yearbooks are $21 until March 10th-after that they will be $25.

PTO will be selling suckers 2 for a dollar on Fridays and anyone that wants to wear a hat can bring a dollar to wear it all day on Fridays. Just a fun way to end the weeks before school is out and make a little money for fun activities.

Spring Break is almost here. It will be March 13th-17th. Please remind your children that we will be working hard up until 3:00 on March 10th. We still have much to learn and review. This is the crunch time for our 3rd and 4th graders to be ready for their big test. It is the crunch time for 1st and 2nd graders to become awesome readers and mathematicians. While we are all ready for a break-it's not time for it to start until March 10th at 3:00!!

Four of our students will be going to Stigler on Friday to a SoftSeven competition. A huge thanks to Mrs. Abney for creating cool shirts for us to wear. Four students from Edmond Doyle, Emerson, and Will Rogers will be going. She made shirts for everyone!! We are fortunate to have her with us! Our four students will do a great job! Good Luck!

Our first graders will be going to see Biscuit on March 7th in Ada. Everyone will be going to S. Arch Auditorium to see a play performed by the McAlester High School drama students on Friday, March 10th in the afternoon. A fun way for us to get ready for a great Spring Break.

Spring Pictures are Tuesday, March 21st.

PTO fundraiser begins March 6th. More information later!
