Important Scholarship Information
This is the time of year when scholarships become available for seniors planning to start college or technical training in the fall. If you have a senior, please take the time to review this list and see if your student should apply!
Race for Education has a $5,000 scholarship EXCLUSIVELY offered to a Locust Trace student as well as other scholarships open for broader competition. These can be reviewed at http://raceforeducation.org/scholarships/. The Locust Trace Scholarship can be found about half way down the webpage.
The Blue Grass Community Foundation offers a variety of scholarships to area students. These scholarships have a variety of target groups including some for special needs students. Most are based on a combination of financial need and student achievement. There are also different deadlines for each. All of these opportunities can be found at http://bgcf.org/learn/scholarships.
And don’t forget to have your student build a profile at www.fastweb.com. Building a detailed profile will allow scholarship opportunities to be delivered to your student’s email address!
