New Advisor Subcommittee

Greater Philadelphia Advisor Social Series - William Street Common

Thursday, April 7th, 5:15-8pm

3900 Chestnut Street

Philadelphia, PA

You are cordially invited to attend the first ever Greater Philadelphia Advisor Social Series event! After our presentation on creating an advising community at the NACADA conference, several advisors from Philly area schools (UPenn, Drexel, and Villanova) approached us about joining our Advisor Social Series - so of course we said yes!

We would love to have a strong showing at the next Social Series event and would love if you would join us. We are excited to open this event up to the greater Philadelphia advising community.

This month we will be hosting our event at William Street Common on Thursday, April 7th*. Join your fellow advisors for conversation, snacks, and $3 drinks (!!!) on April 7th.

All advisors, administrators, and staff are welcome and encouraged to attend Advisor Social Series events. Please RSVP below so we can anticipate how many people will be attending.

If you would like a ride, let us know. There might be some spaces available.

Feel free to reach out to Leanna Arnold.

New Advisor Subcommittee Meeting

Mark your calendars for Thursday, April 14th at 11:00 for our last New Advisor Subcommittee Meeting of the school year. We will resume again in the fall.

The New Advisor Subcommittee at Temple University aims to provide a support system for academic advisors who are either new to advising or new to Temple University. One of our main goals is to promote networking and communication across all schools and colleges within the university. We will also strive to provide skill building opportunities and a safe space for new advisors to ask questions, express their insecurities, and share best practices in order to help each other overcome the challenges we are faced with as new advisors.
