April Reading Challenge

Last week we kicked off our Fiesta Days Rodeo Reading Challenge for the month of April. The goal for Spanish Fork students is to READ MORE! Rees Elementary students are the reigning reading champions and we want to repeat this year! To do that we have set a goal for students to read 35 minutes each day to reach 1,050 monthly minutes per student. If each student can reach that goal or even more, we will read 682,500 minutes as a school, which is 100,000 minutes more than last year.


Student Checklist:

  • Read 35 minutes or more each day! Record any minutes read each day.
  • Record your weekly minutes on the weekly calendar and return it each Friday to win weekly prizes and grade level incentives.
  • Record your minutes on the yellow monthly calendar and return it on Monday, May 1st to be eligible a grade level winner and a chance to win two tickets to the Fiesta Days Rodeo. Grade level winners are eligible to win the grand prize of boots, jeans, cowboy hat, and two tickets to the Fiesta Days Rodeo.

End of Year Testing

End of Year Testing is now open. We ask that students do their best not to miss any testing days and get plenty of rest. Here are the tests each grade will participate in.


Kindergarten- Acadience, KEEP (May)

1st-2nd- Acadience, iReady Diagnostic

3rd- RISE Assessment (Language Arts, Math), Acadience

4th-5th- RISE Assessment (Language Arts, Math, Science), Acadience

Registration is Now Open!

Online Registration opened today. We encourage you to register now for next school year. This helps us to have an enrollment count and to plan on how many teachers we need for next year. There is lots of growth happening in Rees boundaries currently. By registering now, you help us to be more prepared for next school year. If you need any help, please contact our office at
