News from Ms. Hess
I will ensure that each fifth grader will go home for the holidays with two books that they'd like to read over the break. There's not much better than reading a book and drinking hot cocoa!

Band "Concert"
Hello AE 5th Band families,
This is a short note about our upcoming “open rehearsal” during the last week before Holiday Break. The Band traditionally has taken our last rehearsal and opened it up for a student assembly and play the tunes we have been currently working on. We are not ready for a full evening ”Concert” setting yet so this is basically a run through to show the younger students what we have been up to!
This year’s edition will be Tuesday, Dec. 18 at 2:30 in the AE gym. Family and friends are welcome to attend depending on your work/home schedule. Don’t worry if you can’t make it- this is very low key and we will perform twice more this year, once in March, once in May (both evening events).
Students have been working steadily since lessons started and hopefully, our AE students will enjoy their efforts! Please let me know of questions/concerns and I’ll go from there.
Thanks,
Pat Flaherty, 5th Bands
