2019-20 UNHP ENRICHMENT COMMITTEE GIVING PROGRAM
As of September 26th, 2019 we are at 14% Family Participation
DONATE NOW to take advantage of the many benefits and to help us reach our goal of 25% Family Participation in order for ALL UNHP scholars to take advantage of NO FORMAL dress on Mondays*!
- Your Family Participation counts when you give at any level – whether $5 or $5,000!
- When donating, you won't be asked for your scholar's name because we are tracking as Family Participation, not by scholar.
- We have 1,059 family units at UNHP, so we need at least 265 families to donate in order to reach our goal of 25% Family Participation
- Currently we are at 14% Family Participation with 135 family donations
JOIN THE JOURNEY!
We are on an exciting journey here at UNHP and we want every family to join us! Our mission is to provide the best educational experience for our students. The UNHP Enrichment Committee solicits donations from our families and outside sponsors to ensure that our kids can have access to the resources and experiences that will drive their future success. To achieve this, we have developed a NEW UNHP Enrichment Committee Giving Program called “Join The Journey” and have aligned the giving levels by family rather than by scholar to make it more affordable and easier for every family to Join The Journey!
WHAT IS THE ENRICHMENT FUND?
We know there are many parents who haven’t been at the school long or maybe have just never heard of the “Enrichment Fund”. The Enrichment Fund is the pool of money that we collect from the generous donations of our parents every year so that we can supplement the UNHP school budget. In the past, the fund has been used to build the Student Activity Center (SAC), resurface the playground for the primary students, and pay for field trips and other special activities!
WHY ARE THE INCENTIVES CHANGING? In the past we gave $365 each school year and always got NO FORMAL DRESS on Mondays.
Our goal with changing the Giving Program this year is to make the rewards more equitable and inclusive and less expensive for all families at UNHP. Every single dollar makes a difference toward us being able to equip our scholars and our teachers with what they need for the school year and we want everyone to know that your contributions, no matter the amount, are going toward our goal of 100% participation!

AS (K-12th): Scholar Flu Clinic
In an effort to proactively reduce the number of missed school days due to illness during the influenza season, Uplift Education is proud to announce a partnership with CareVan to provide free flu vaccines at your campus during school hours on October 22nd, 2019. CareVan is a free immunization program for children who eligible under the Texas Vaccines for Children Program rules. Children who are uninsured, have Medicaid, are American Indian or Alaskan Native or who have private insurance that does not cover vaccines are eligible. Parents do not need to be at school during this clinic.
Parents of eligible children must complete and return the consent form to the school by Tuesday, October 15th. CLICK HERE FOR CONSENT FORM. If the consent form is not completely filled out, your child will not be able to get the flu immunizations. The consent form is the only document that needs to be returned to the school. A record of this vaccine will be sent home to you after the vaccine is given.
Please be aware that participating students will receive the traditional flu shot vaccine and not the nasal mist. Children who are allergic to eggs will not be able to get vaccine at this clinic. Please contact your health care provider directly if your child is allergic to eggs. Information about the Flu vaccine is enclosed. If you have any questions about flu vaccinations, please feel free to contact your child’s school nurse or your pediatrician. You do not need to do anything other than return the completed form to your child’s school to request that your child receive the free vaccination. Vaccinations will be given during the normal school day in an area set aside for this purpose with the school nurse or aide in attendance.
We must have, at least, 50 signed consent forms turned it for the Flu Vaccine Clinic to occur. Please return as soon as possible so a count can be given to the Care Van.
