WANTED: Someone who can work with a group of Year 7-8 students, who are really keen to learn about the mechanics of motorbikes and cars.

Room 4 students have the opportunity to carry out learning in areas where their passions lie. A group of boys are really keen to develop their mechanical skills- specifically with motorbikes and cars.

If you have an hour once a week/ or once every two weeks, and would be prepared to come in to school and work with a small group of boys- we'd love to hear from you!

Getting reading happening at home.

Is there anything better than getting lost in a good book? As an avid reader myself, I feel sorry for anyone that does not know the pleasure that can be found reading.

Sadly, with the introduction of gaming and time on the internet, children's time spent reading has decreased over the years.

The impact that you at home can have on your child's attitude to reading is immense. The following link gives valuable insights in to reading at home and some strategies, that you as parents, can use to help get your children hooked into reading for pleasure.
