Te Rōhutu Whio 1st November 2022
Kia ora e te whānau!
Our tamariki have had a lovely, settled start to Term Four and we are very excited about the events planned. It was lovely to see whānau at our sexuality evening and great seeing people making connections with each other after it was finished.
Our special Diwali assembly has been a highlight and we loved the Indian cooking, henna design, rangoli art and dance lessons on this day too. We are super excited about Gumboot Friday this wiki. Rather than giving money, we encourage you to help your tamariki to do a random act of kindness for somebody so that it is meaningful to them. It could be as simple as a card of gratitude or facetime whānau overseas and letting them know why they are treasured.
We have some fun events planned for this term!
Please mark the following dates in your calendars.
Week 3: Thursday 3rd November: Mihi whakatau for new whānau
Week 3: Friday 4th November: Gumboot Friday
Week 4: Monday 7th and Tuesday 8th November: School photos
Week 6: Thursday 24th November - Kapa Haka performance at cultural evening: 3.30 pm
Week 6: Wednesday 15th November - Run, jump, throw athletics day
Week 6: Friday 25th November - School Disco
Week 7: Saturday 3rd December - Rolleston Christmas in park.
Week 8: Thursday 8th December - Year 8 Leavers Celebration
Week 9: Tuesday 13th December - Year 8 students to Rolleston College 8.45 am
Week 9: Thursday 15th December - Final Assembly
Week 9: Friday 16th December - School finishes for the year at 12.30
Kia pai te rā. Enjoy your day.

We are excited to let you know about our upcoming “Run, Jump, Throw” celebration. This will be held on Wednesday 16th November from 11.20am at Te Rōhutu Whio.
You are most welcome to attend and watch your child enjoy their physical activity rotations.
The rotations will be either side of our wā manaaki lunch break so you are welcome to stay for lunch, grab a hot drink from Te Tāwara our staffroom and then join in any whānau and staff events after lunch!
We look forward to seeing you there!
If you have any pātai questions at all please email katiet@terohutuwhio.school.nz
