Comparing The Earth, Moon, and Sun
The Difference and How They are Alike
Introduction
The Earth, Moon, and Sun have really a important part in our lives. How you wonder? Well they all make a cycle well maybe it's not quite like a cycle. First, I will tell you about how their cycle works. It starts off with the Earth rotating on it's axis and it revolving around the sun.One very important thing is that rotation creates day and night , the apparent movement of the sun and shadows change. There is still more important facts to learn. Next you will learn about the revolution. The revolution creates the Earth to orbit causes seasons, and years. The hours it takes for the sun to rotate on its axis is 27-35 hours. Next, the earth is the only planet that has life on it and it takes 1 day (24 hours) or to be exact 23 and 56 minutes to rotate on its axis. Last, we have the moon, the moon takes 27 days to rotate and revolve on it's axis.
The Earth
The Earth is so important because we live on it and it is the only planet that has living organisms. You may or may not know that Earth is a very complex system of air, water, and land. Even if you are in space you also can see the very complex system on the Earth. The outside of the Earth as you can see in the picture up above is land, water and clouds. The white gas is the clouds and the blue liquid is water and last, the brown rock is land.
The Moon
The moon is a natural satellite that revolves around Earth but that is not the only satellite and in fact the Moon is the fifth largest satellite in the Solar System. When Earth rotates around the Sun and the Sun faces one half of the Earth it causes day. When the other side of the Earth is facing the Moon it causes night. Also Earth isn't the only thing that rotates, the Moon rotates to at ten miles per hour.
The Sun
The Sun is the most important thing in our Solar System. Why you ask? Well it heats the only planet that has life and that means that it gives us heat so we can live. Also it heats other planets but Earth is a very important planet. If the Sun wasn't shining for eight minutes we would all die.
The Sun has a gravitational pull. This gravitational pull pulls all the planets near the Sun that is why all the planets are in the places they are now. When, the planets were pulled toward the Sun and they got in a certain place. Why they got in a certain place is because some planets need to be far, close or just right in the middle
Comparisons
- Earth- It has life, dust and mountain. Also it has gases. Plus it is cold and hot
- Moon- It has ripples, dust and mountains. Also it is cold and hot.
- Sun- It has gases and heat
- Earth and Moon- They are both hot and cold they also have dust mountains.
- Earth and Sun- They have gases, sphere and in the solar system.
- Earth, Moon and the Sun- They all have the shape of a sphere, are all in the solar system
