News and Notes for Parents at Plymouth North
A great time to be an Eagle!
In addition to the start of a new semester, we're rapidly approaching the tournament time for Winter Sports and the beginning of competition season for many clubs and organizations. We all can't wait to see all that our students have the opportunity to achieve with the hard work they've put in all year. We're excited to see what's in store, and the sky is truly the limit!

3. Ms. Pickens, DESE Sontag Award Recipient
Ms. Pickens was named a 2020 Recipient of this prestigious honor, and as a result will be invited to an honorary gala to celebrate the award. She also has been invited to teach at statewide "Acceleration Academies" where high achieving students are accepted to conduct advanced coursework with some of the state's best teachers.
Anyone who has been in Ms. Pickens' class can tell you, her creativity and diligence at planning her lessons is inspiring, her relationships with each of her students is impressive, and the result of what she produces for our students helps them connect with content in deep and meaningful ways that impacts them long after she's had them in class. We've known this at North for some time, but now the State agrees as well!
Congratulations, Ms. Pickens! We're so proud of you and SO lucky that you're an Eagle!
