A hurricane is an intense , rotating oceanic weather system that possesses maximum sustained winds exceeding 119 km/hr.

Why Do Hurricane Form and Why are they found?

Hurricane form and intensify over oceanic regions. They required sea-surface temperatures of at least 26'F (80'F) and the influence of earth's rotation to intiate a spinning circulation (Coriolis Effect)
