Principal's Message
As we enter the week of Thanksgiving, a holiday based on the concept of gratitude, I want to express my appreciation to our parents, students, teachers, and staff. This has been an unusual year that will not be easily forgotten. I am grateful for everyone's understanding and support as we have worked through the challenges of Distance Learning. I have been impressed as I visit classrooms virtually and see how our students have adopted to the new norm of learning via their computer. Students seem comfortable with the routines. I find most of them engaged. They have figured out how to maneuver through the world of online virtual learning.
As we reflect on Thanksgiving, even though we may be disappointed with certain aspects of this year, all of us should be grateful for our children, our families, and our friends. Although most of us won't be able to travel to be with our loved ones like in previous years, we can still reach out to them thanks to technology, the same technology that students are using to connect with their teachers every day during school.
As in the past, during this time of the year, our teachers are in the middle of Parent/Teacher Conferences. If you have not responded to the email or phone call that you may have received about your conference date, please reach out to your child's teacher to schedule a time. Tuesday is the last day to meet with the teacher prior to the Thanksgiving Holiday. However, your child's teacher will want to meet with you right away the following week. Please email the teacher or call the office: 650-482-2404.
May all of us reflect on our wonderful blessings. May we teach our children to appreciate all that we have. And may they understand that we should give gratitude for our lives and the opportunities offered us. Thanksgiving Day is a wonderful opportunity to express our gratitude.
Happy Thanksgiving!

PARENT SURVEY — In-Person Learning Return to School
In the survey you will be informed if your child's teacher will return to In-Person Teaching and Learning or if the teacher will remain Distance Learning for the rest of the school year.
The survey should answer most of your questions. Students who select In-Person Teaching will be placed either in the morning session starting at 8:15 AM or the afternoon session starting at 12:15 PM. Siblings will have the same schedule. However, we will not be able to accept requests. It would be impossible to grant everyone's choice. If families don't have the flexibility to attend either the morning session or the afternoon session, families should consider remaining with Distance Learning. After classes are organized, and if we have space, we will consider changing students to a different schedule.
Please look for an email by Tuesday with a survey for each of your children's teachers.
FAMILIES UNITED
Currently the classes are being offered online. Our participants have finished four weeks of lessons. The whole family is invited to participate. Below is a video of what last week's lesson focused on. We thank our families who are part of this wonderful educational class and for submitting photos so we can see what they have been learning. Keep up the good work, and thank you!
See click on the video link below for an example of some of student activities that typically take place at the sessions.
