The Hunger Games

Suzanne Collins

Katniss Everdeen volunteers for her little sister, Prim, to be in the Hunger Games. In the Hunger Games you have to fight with other people by killing them to win or other.. She is determined to win for Prim. She meets Peeta Mellark and teams up with him in the Hunger Games. They're many problems including hunger, injuries, and fighting with other people. With the help of Haymitch they become better and fight to death.

The genre for The Hunger Games is dystopia because in the arena you have to kill other people and it's a bad place.

Favorite Quote

"I want the audience to recognize you when you’re in the arena," says Cinna dreamily. “Katniss, the girl who was on fire," (Page 67).

Recommendation & Text-to-Text

Recommendation - I would recommend this book to people that like action, series, and Divergent. There is a lot of action, including fighting scene and other. This is a whole series so after reading the first own you can read the second book. Divergent is similar to The Hunger Games in many ways.

Text-to-Text - This book reminds me of the book Divergent, because it has a similar aspect with the genre of dystopia. The main characters both have a talent. Katniss is good with a bow and Tris is a divergent. Also they both have to go through training in order to survive.
