It's Been a Great Week at Hoover!
Attendance
This time of year we are seeing a large number of students reaching the threshold of attendance warnings. Please be sure that you are familiar with the Elementary School Attendance Policy. A copy of this policy is linked below and can also be found on our website in the Elementary School Student Handbook.
PBIS - Positive Behavior Interventions and Support
Our school's PBIS team has planned several exciting and fun-filled activities for the last week of classes before winter break. Students who have demonstrated good character, behavior, and completed all assignments these past nine weeks will be invited to attend.
Chill is in the Air!
Our students continue to go outside all winter long if the combines air temperature and wind chill is 20 degrees. Make sure your child is dressed for the weather everyday.
Get Those Jackets Labeled!
Our lost & found is VERY full right now. So full that we have run out of space to hang up items and have resorted to placing loose items in an additional box next to the lost & found rack. Please remind your student to check the lost & found to see if they recognize any of their missing items. There are lots of nice jackets and coats that need to be reunited with their owners. The best way for us to get lost items returned to your student is to make sure every item is clearly marked with your child's name. *Any items still remaining at Winter Break will be washed and donated.

All students will go outside unless the temperature is deemed too cold by a combined temperature and wind chill of 20 or below, or it is raining. Please make sure your child dresses for the weather. If a student needs to stay indoors due to an illness, a doctor’s note is required. Please remember winter weight coats, hats, and gloves for your child.
