Weathering
Breakdown of rock into smaller pieces.
Mechanical Weathering
This picture is showing mechanical weathering because
the water is breaking down the rock into smaller pieces at the Earth's surface. Come hang out with your buddies at the beach and even jump off of the cliffs!
Chemical Weathering
This picture is showing chemical weathering because of oxidation. (A chemical change in which a substance combines with oxygen, as when iron oxidizes, forming rust). Once you get to the top you have a wonderful seeing site for you and your date!
Physical Weathering
Physical and mechanical weathering are basically the same things. The cracks and the rocks are showing that it has been physically weathered. The cracks give it a wonder full view while hiking along side!
Erosion
Moving of rock material from one location to another.
Water Erosion
This river is moving rock with its water, to a new location. That is what makes it water erosion. Grab some friends and let the water erode you!
Wind Erosion
This tornado is lifting up sediment and carrying it to a new location which is wind erosion. Tornadoes are fun to watch, but be careful don't get to close, or else it will erode you to your death! Yikes!
Gravitational Erosion
The gravity is pulling the falling rocks to a new location which is gravitational erosion. Not only can you watch and see the avalanche, but you can feel the vibration that tickles your feet. Come and check out the vibrations yourself!
Deposition
The laying down of sediment that has been transported by a medium such as wind, water, or ice.
Water Deposition
The water is being lied down in which this case is known to be water erosion. Enjoy the cool rain after a nice hot day after visiting the Gulf Coast Prairies.
Wind Deposition
The wind is setting down the sand and minerals which shows that this is wind deposition. Grab some sand suits and run though the high winds as your air blows past your face!
Ice Deposition
The ice was set here by the temperature of the cave. As it is SET down it is showing Ice deposition. Come check out some rare caves in the Gulf Coast Prairies!
Attwater's Prairie Chicken
This is one of the endangerd wildlife species in the Gulf Coast Prairies. This chickn is meant for you eyes only, NOT YOUR MOUTH, so came check it out!
Least Bell's Vireo
This is another endagered wildlife species. I hope you have good eyes because they are fast and hard to spot. Be sure to bring binoculars!
Bufonidae Frog
This unny-named frog is quik and precise. Try to keep you eye on one and maybe even catch it...if your lucky!
