Friday Features

11/6/19

Thanks for a SPOOK-tacular Night!

Thanks to everyone who joined us last Friday evening for the Halloween Hoot. Whether you donated snacks, helped set up or clean up, or hosted a trunk, we couldn't have done it without you! Special thanks to our co-chairs, Melinda Harz and Sally Bartlett, for all of their planning to make it a ghoulishly fun evening.

RSVP to the Thanksgiving Feast

Our annual Thanksgiving Feast will be held Tues., Nov. 19 at 11:30 AM. Because this is a catered meal, we NEED to know whether your child will be participating.

Forms must be returned by Nov. 9th, along with $8 cash or check made payable to BGS PTO, in order to participate. You can also pay via AtoZ Connect (go to http://login.atozconnect.com, the to Store -> Products -> Events to find the Feast payment option).

The PTO will ensure we have the main course (turkey and all the fixings), but we would appreciate donations of desserts. We'll also need helpers to set up, serve, and clean up from the event. If you can make a dessert contribution or help serve, signup in AtoZ Connect here: https://atozconnect.com/cls/events?vuft4517

Lastly, if you'd like to participate in our Thanksgiving Centerpiece contest (winner gets $25 to Shoprite and a treat for the kids), you can sign up here: https://atozconnect.com/cls/events?phiw7950

Show Appreciation to Our Faculty During the Conference Night Dinner

On Thursday, Nov. 14th the PTO will host a dinner for staff, who are working into the evening during Parent-Teacher Conferences. Our theme for this dinner is "Thankful P's in Our PTO".

We're looking for soups and fixings for a great Salad Bar. We expect about 30 staff members to be at the dinner.

Register to provide needed items for the meal on AtoZ Connect (website or via the app) here: https://atozconnect.com/cls/events?phez9869

Drop off your items anytime on Thursday the 14th. If you are dropping off a hot item, please bring it pre-heated between 3:30 and 3:45. We don't have sufficient means to heat items on site, but can accommodate items kept warm in a crock pot.

Or if you would prefer to make a contribution towards the meal, please send in any donations in an envelope marked "Faculty Meals".

Read-a-Thon Ends Today!

Our Bears met and EXCEEDED our Read-a-Thon goals last week. They have over $9200 in pledges and have read over 113,000 minutes!

Be sure to log your final pledges and reading totals into Whooo's Reading on Nov. 6. Our Read-a-Thon is ending and then we'll be moving into our collection period until Dec. 6.

There's still time to enter a pledge here: https://fund.whooosreading.org/school_orgs/bradley-gardens-school - no amount is too small! More than 15% of our pledges are under $10, so every little bit helps us meet our goals.

If you or your family have outstanding pledges that need to be paid, please send them in to school in an envelope marked "Read-a-Thon", including both the name of your child AND the name of the sponsor(s) whose contributions are included.

Thanks for your support!
