Weekly Warrior Update
Student Focused-World Class
Word for the Warrior
Hello Warrior Families!
We are SO excited to welcome back all of our returning students and welcome all of our new students to our Warrior Family! We have been hard at work preparing for your return! Please know that we strive above all to love our students and ensure their safety and success while at school! We will seek to reach out and keep your informed throughout the school year! Please know that you may reach out to us at ANY time. We are welcome to respond to emails and phone calls within 24 hours and we will be happy to meet with you for a conference at any time.
Tomorrow morning, all students will report to the large gym before school. The cafeteria will be open for students who would like to eat breakfast. Please remember that breakfast and lunch are free for ALL Sevier students.
At 7:35, all students will be asked to report to the large gym and at that time, we will call students one class at a time to follow their teacher to their class. In this way, we will welcome all students back to school and ensure that ALL students are escorted to their first period class so that each child knows exactly where to go!
During first period, we will assign lockers to each child and give students a chance to get familiar with their locker. We will also ensure that students have a tour of the building and also know expectations.
If you have ANY questions throughout this week, please reach out to us and we will be happy to answer any questions!
Volleyball tryouts will begin on Monday for all NEW students and sixth graders to Sevier. All students interested in running Cross-Country will also sign up on Monday and Tuesday. (See schedule below) For ALL students wishing to participate in sports, a sports physical form must be on file in the office (even for tryouts).
In addition, all rising seventh graders must have an up to date immunization form on file in the office in order to be released to class on Monday morning.
We are going to have a GREAT year!
Proud to be a Warrior,

BUSES
Starting this year, the state transportation department is going to to monitor bus videos at times to check and see if drivers are walking the bus aisles asking all students to buckle up and then they are to write referrals for students who will not buckle. The state transportation people also claim they will follow up with schools regarding action taken by schools.
Families, if your child rides a bus, PLEASE emphasize the importance of wearing a seatbelt. Failure to do so will result in referrals that could in up with a consequence that your child may not have bus transportation.
BUCKLE UP! BE SAFE!
