Viking Fun Run: πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ’¨

Our Viking Fun Run Fundraiser kicked off today, and we are thrilled about this year’s program!

Our goal is to raise $50,000 (to build our enrichment opportunities on campus) and we’re inviting YOU to help! Check out this quick video on how to register your student on MYBOOSTER.COM. From there, you can watch the same character videos your student will be watching each day, and start pledging to help our school!

Be sure to ask your child about the Sports City Worldwide Character Lesson of the Day! It’s a fitness theme all about inspiring students to be active and activate their character. Students will travel the world learning how to live and play with more character from REAL kid-athletes.

Thank you for supporting our school.

We can’t wait for our Viking Fun Run happening on October 13th!

Reading Lab Volunteers

After you drop off your student at Valhalla, what do you do? If you have the time, please come back to campus and spend 25 minutes to help a student! The Reading Lab would love for you to come by and read with a student or two.

It only takes 25 minutes!

The Reading Lab is in need of volunteers on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings at 10:10, 10:40, 11:10, and 11:40-12:00.

If you can spare the time, our students will be very appreciative.

Any adult over 18 years old (vaccinated, TB tested, & fingerprinted) with some free time can help. This includes parents, grandparents, friends and neighbors. The gift of 25 minutes a week will last a lifetime for these students.

Please call the office at 687-1700 or email the Reading Lab at canalec@mdusd.org for details, ask for Corrin Canale.

One person really can make a difference – especially to our students.

Our program is dependent upon volunteers like you!
