Room 107
Integrated Performance Assessments provide a snapshot of performance at a given proficiency level in a language. IPAs measure proficiency based on what a learner should be able to do in the target language at the target proficiency level across three modes of communication: Interpersonal, Interpretive, and Presentational. The IPA provides a framework for teaching and learning which will occur within theme across all modes. The Each mode is assessed with a rubric establishing proficiency at the given level of acquisition specific to each mode. Effective instruction toward proficiency requires aligning instruction to an IPA which has been created from the targeted proficiency benchmarks aligned with the state standards.
