SCIS Rhythm Report
November 2, 2018
Dear Percussion Families-
Percussionists did an amazing job on their concert performance last week and I am so proud of them! I have passed out new music for our Fine Arts Festival Concert in December. This music is a easier than what we have been working on pad and marimba, so we will not spend a ton of time on it in class. Everyone is playing a different instrument for each song.
Percussion is more than just snare drum and marimba. We work on these the most because the skills built there have a wide range of application to other instruments. The important thing that I tell the percussion class every year is the Triangle playing percussionist for a Symphony gets paid the same (or usually a little more) than the solo trumpet or violin player. : )
