SWDCS Technology Integration & eLearning Day Plan
As George Couros states, “Change is an opportunity to do something amazing.” Since our school has implemented 1:1 devices, our staff and students have taken this opportunity to make meaningful change in our classrooms. As we continue to 2018, will will continue to explore how to utilize technology tools to meet the needs of our students and learning goals. Professional development will focus on promoting student-centered learning, providing opportunities for student creativity, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking. This PD will support our eLearning initiative for the 2018-19 school year, with plans to implement a student eLearning day. In the fall of 2018, SWDCS will have a Student eLearning Day that will provide a day for Staff Professional Development! More information to come.

Clubs
FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes)
FCA has been spreading holiday cheer during the month of December. We started our month off with an exciting Christmas Party on Monday, December 11th. There was plenty of Christmas cheer in the auditorium, while we listened to holiday music and engaged in a fun-filled competition of a festive Christmas-themed Kahoot. During this time, we also enjoyed cookies and punch. Prizes were given to the winners and many were dressed in their favorite Christmas attire. Prior to our gathering, we paraded into the middle school wearing smiles and Santa hats as we passed out candy canes to the 8th graders to sprinkle a little Christmas spirit. FCA wishes everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We look forward to an exciting start to 2018!
