The Gables PTA is excited to invite the Gables families back to an in-person 2022 Back to School Bash on Friday, September 9 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, and your help is needed! Admission is FREE to everyone. Events will include games, activities, face painting, bounce houses, dunk tank, and contests for prizes, There will also be Pizza on site for purchase, popcorn, lemonade, and ice cream provided by the PTA.

Visit the Gables staff, families, and friends and get information about upcoming school events!

To volunteer for a 30-minute shift, go to the signup in Bloomz. Select "Show for All Groups", click "Signups" at the top of your page, and then click the event signup. From there, you can see what is still needed and add your name where you like. Thank you in advance for all your help and support!

We encourage everyone to go through the annual update process once per year and any time your information changes so that your school can reach you about your students.

You can confirm your email and other information using the Annual Update Tool that Jessica showed in the session.
When searching for an app in your app store, look for "Campus Parent” to make sure you get the right one. You must create your account and log in on a computer or in a browser on your phone first before using the app.

Information that does not require us to verify (like your phone number) is updated instantly. Other information is usually verified within a few days. This time of year is a little busy, so it may take a little longer.

Back-to-School Health Checklist:

• Schedule an annual check-up with your child's pediatrician.
• Make sure your kids are up-to-date on all required vaccinations.
• Get a copy of your child's updated immunization record from your family physician and give it to your child's school nurse at the start of school.
• The COVID-19 vaccine is now approved for all ages! Get your family vaccinated for COVID-19.
• Schedule a vision screening.
• Schedule a dental appointment and cleaning.
• Set up sports physicians for student-athletes.
• Masks are optional at CCS. If you choose to have your child wear one, buy well-fitting, comfortable masks.
• Familiarize yourself with school protocols on masking, testing, and quarantining in case of COVID-19 symptoms or recent travel to a different state.
• Pack hand sanitizer and remind your children to keep practicing good hand hygiene.

Exclusion Date:

• Exclusion date is September 23, 2022.
• Families have until that date to provide proof of immunizations begin in progress.
• Students who do not have the proof will not be allowed to attend school until this is up-to-date.
• Families will receive a letter if their child needs an immunization.
• Work with your School Nurse!

CCS hosts weekly Zoom sessions addressing the most pressing topics and answering the most common questions families have. Called Virtual Family Engagement Sessions, these sessions are hosted by the Department of Communications and Engagement and feature expert District staff and many of our community partners sharing information and insights on important topics.
