Weekly Coaching Communication
Make it a great day -- every day!
21 - 25 May 2018
Hats off to you!
Here's this past week's amazement:
- Shout out to the Jacobis (Mr., Mrs., and DJ) for outstanding performances at the Iowa Bandmasters Conference -- Several of you have already seen the video, but it's worth the watch again (click here for video link).
- Thank you, teachers, for completing the IC Survey on Wednesday and then following up right away for the DTL survey. Surveys can get old, but the information is invaluable for decision-making and moving practices forward.
- Thank you, Halane, for offering and making such wonderful meals for the Chillax on Wednesday -- your passion is definitely our benefit!
- Congratulations, Jodi & DeEtta, on receiving the Foundation grants!
- Thank you, Bobby, for being a science teacher this week.
- Thank you, Melissa J for being a science teacher AND a half this week!
- SBL Council Members -- thank you for your insight and analysis of the needs assessments to help steer learning for June 1st and next year.

Data results from Needs Assessment Surveys for Rigorous Reading
Overview
The charts provide the comprehensive data for both high school and middle school teachers. The descriptions below each chart provide the data for high school teachers in the context of all secondary teachers.
The number 29 for high school teachers is representative of only those high school teachers who completed the survey.
Important to Note
Important to Note
The hollow, second bullet identifies how many high school teachers are represented in the secondary (total).
The solid block, third bullet represents the percentage of high school teachers who responded.
- The percentage, rather than total number of high school teachers, carries more consideration since not all high school teachers responded to the survey.
Data results from Needs Assessment Surveys for Literacy & SBL/G

The number 30 for high school teachers is representative of only those high school teachers who completed the survey.
