What was the change?
This was the change between religion. Mostly between the Catholic Church and Christian Church. Martin Luther and two other persons were involved. Eventually the church will split into branches.
Important People
Martin Luther
Martin Luther witnessed the sin people were doing in the church and decided to create the 95 theses. He posted this on the door of the castle church. He basically started the reformation.
Gutenberg
He was the intelligent man that invented and created the printing press. People use this device to translate secular books.
John Calvin
John Calvin believed in something called predestination. Which is where god knows whether or not you going to hell or heaven. He created a religion called Calvinism.
Long Term Effects
A long term effect of this event is indulgence. An indulgence is when someone pays to pay for their sins. This is still being used till this day. Another one was "if you have faith, then we are all equal.
Short Term Effects
This changed the way people looked towards religion. People want to get into heaven. People became protestant which is when they are against the Catholic Church.
