Mrs. Drudy's Remote Learning
April 10, 2020
For the Parents: F.Y.I.
On the daily agenda sheet you, as the parent, will simply sign next to the activity that your child completed. Yes, some of you may think this sounds silly or even distrusting of us, but accountability is a piece of remote learning required by the State of Indiana. Just the same, your child will be required to complete them to be considered in attendance for these days.
We are NOT going to make this harder than it needs to be. I have taken a picture of what you will need to send to me each week. You can see in my sample below that there are three daily agendas: Day #1, Day #2, and Day #3. This will represent Tues, Wed, and Thurs. of next week. You will also see where I, as the pretend parent have signed. Did you notice where there are places that I didn't sign? That's because those were OPTIONAL activities, and my pretend child opted not to do them. Easy-peasy, right? One picture once per week e-mailed off to me. Trust me, this will all make perfect sense once this deal gets up and running. For now, don't sweat the small stuff. Your focus is staying well and keeping your little(s) well. I cannot begin to tell you how much I appreciate that you are my partner in learning right now!
For the Kids: Fractured Fable Fort Friday
Ruby's mind is always full of ideas. One day, she finds some old boards and decides to build something. When she invites her three brothers to help, they just laugh at her and tell her she doesn't know how to build.
"Then I'll learn," she says.
And she does!
When she succeeds at building a wonderful fort that they all want to play in, it's Ruby who gets the last laugh.
Give a listen to this fractured fable that's sure to please.
