Welcome back from the weekend!
I apologize that the newsletter for this week is late. I was moving all weekend, and could not find time to create it until after school Monday.
MAP Testing: Math MAP test was today, 5/2/16. Students did great, I told them that it was good practice for the EOG. Keep it up 3rd graders, one down, one to go! Reading MAP test is on Wednesday. You can do it!
Mid-terms: Can you believe it? Mid-terms are already here and they go out on Wednesday 5/4/16. Keep turning in your reading logs and math packets! Math grades will consist of the following: all math homework packets that have been turned in since we got back from Spring Break, and 2 quizzes. ELA grades will consist of reading logs that have been turned in since Spring Break, and three reading passages. Social studies grade will be based on the Cherokee culture assessment, this will come home tomorrow or Wednesday. Since we just began working on our solar system projects, we will not have a grade for science.
EOG: We will continue to practice for the EOG by taking reading passages and doing word problems from the practice EOG.
Math: we will continue elapsed time on the number line and begin some exploration with measuring weight. Math packets went home today (Monday). Since we have MAP testing this week, and we had mCLASS testing last week, we did not continue doing math stations, these will pick back up when our week turns back to normal- next week!
Thanks those of you who have brought in snack for our class, it is appreciated! We are out again, let me know if you can help: please and thank you! We are also in great need of tissues!
As always, contact me with questions if you have them.
