A Message to our Bears...
Primary Bears-
Monday, September 21 is a student holiday. Our teachers will be using data to adjust frameworks and lesson plans to meet the needs of our students. We hope our student have a wonderful, three day weekend.
On Tuesday, September 22, Primary will send home student progress reports. Each grade level sends progress reports that are specific to that grade level. As always, if you have questions, please get with your child's teacher.
Have a wonderful, relaxing weekend.
Sincerely,
Shelley Keck

News from Our Library
BEAR BOOKS and LIBRARY LOOKS
PreK~ We are having story time in the Library and learning about taking care of books. We've asked each PreK student to read a "bedtime story" every night with Mom or Dad.
Kinder Kids~ We are reading books in print AND ebooks. Students are learning the "Shelf Marker" song to help with using shelf markers when finding a great book. Fingers crossed, Kinder Kids will start checking out one book soon.
First/Second Graders ~ These students have been checking out from the start of the year and are doing a great job! We check out one "just right" and "one we love" book. If a book is a little hard, we encourage students to read it at home with parents. It is important that First and Second Graders are still enjoying reading time at home with help from Mom and Dad.
Virtual Learners ~ Don't forget to put books on HOLD for Curbside Pick Up on Mondays from 12:00-1:00. You can return books to the La Vernia District Book Drop Box located next to the Junior High Office. There are videos on the Library Webpage that explain how to put books on HOLD.
SAVE THE DATE! Our LVPS Virtual Book Fair will be October 15-28, 2020.
We have a lot going on in our LVPS Library! For current information and updates, please visit our Library Webpage

What to do if your child is sick?
1. Have child stay home.
2. Consult your family pediatrician regarding concerns. They should be able to provide guidance upon when to come back to school.
3. Email the nurse if you have further questions and she will provide information. priclinic@lvisd.org
How does your child go home?
Frequent changes cause confusion and worry for our children.
