Effects of Society
The effects of cocaine on society can be seen in drug-related crime problems. Cocaine use can disrupt neighbourhoods with violence among drug dealers, threats to residents, and the crimes of the addicts themselves. In some neighbourhoods, younger children are recruited as lookouts for the police and helpers because of the lighter sentences given to juvenile offender.
Effects on Family and Friends
Cocaine addiction makes users behave in ways that hurt the very people they are closest to because of the way it controls their thoughts and priorities. Cocaine takes their money, demands their attention, and threatens their values.
