Adopt Me!

Meet Rose

Hi, my name is Rose and I’m an absolute love bug looking for my forever home! I’m five years old and first came into a Baltimore City shelter as a stray in 2011. I was very scared being in that shelter, but after several months and becoming a staff favorite, I was adopted. Then just two days before Christmas this year, my family took me back to the shelter because I was “too shy” for them to take when they moved. My foster Mom says she doesn’t know how this is true because I am a really sweet girl who loves to sit on laps, get lots of attention, and purr away to my heart’s content. I also like to bonk my head into the furniture to ask for pets!

Unfortunately I wasn’t groomed very well by my previous owners and my long black fur was very matted and tangled. I had to get a new hair-do called a “lion cut.” I may look silly for a while, but my fur will grow back very soon. I really like being combed, so as my coat grows back in I will love being groomed and made to feel pretty again! I will also need some help with my New Year’s resolution to lose weight. With my short fur, you can see I need to lose some around the middle!
