ASVAB
ASVAB scheduled for November 20
The ASVAB is a nationally-normed, multi-aptitude test battery that has been provided to high schools and post-secondary schools since 1968. The results will assist us in guiding students and parents in future career and college goals. Please review the information below.
The ASVAB will be given to all current SHS Juniors. SENIORS who wish to take the ASVAB need to sign up in the High School Office.
We feel this test will give us a tool to help your students prepare for their future. The results will be used by the high school counselors. The results are also reported to the military to explore possible careers associated with different military branches. This gives students a chance to discover more options, but does not require that they enlist with the military. However, you may choose to for your student's results to not be released to military recruiters. Please go to the SHS website or visit the front office to pick up an opt out letter. The letters need to be returned to SHS by 3:30 on Thursday, November 19.
