We Are Still Here For The Kids
We are joining together with our feeder to update our families about how Conroe ISD will proceed. In the meantime, we wanted to take time and check on our Vogel families. Our top priority is making sure our students continue to stay engaged and focused during this time of changes. Along with the precautions to keep our bodies healthy, we know that this will affect our families in a variety of ways. Please find ways and opportunities to connect with your family during this time and get recharged when able. Our teachers are preparing to reach out to you all later this week. In order to best prepare for each family, please take a moment to complete the technology survey HERE.
Our goal is to not overwhelm you as parents, but to give your children a little sense of normalcy in regards to learning and keeping them involved in some of what school offers. Even an hour of academic time every day is helpful in making the transition back to school more seamless.
Please be patient as we are all processing the recent changes ahead of us. Also, know that we are all adapting to this type of learning and communication together. There are a few resources below and links for technology and food resources. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us for further questions and concerns.
Sincerely,
Christa Haymark, Principal - cghaymark@conroeisd.net
Things To Consider...
As we adjust to recent changes, we want our families to know that we are thinking of how difficult this might be on some of our students and families. We wanted to pull together some helpful resources that might get parents and students through this extended time at home. Our recommendation is to keep students engaged - as the global suggestion is to practice social distancing which pushes us to utilize more online activities.
- Please continue to minimize screen time for students and practice moderation in all things. Maintaining a Routine/Schedule - Daily Planner
- Have a conversation about the reality of what is happening and how you and your family are going to respond. Stick to the facts yet, give hope for them to believe that we will get through this tough time.
