Meal Updates and New Pick up Locations

FREE meals will be available for all students for curbside pickup at the schools listed below. Meals will be available every Wednesday and Friday from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Meals will be FREE to all those who are under age 18. Families and students will not need to provide a name or PIN number to pick up the meals. For more information, visit our website.

Winter Sing-Along and Pajama Day

Kindergarten students have been learning a variety of winter songs during Specialist classes. They will have the opportunity to sing all of these songs on either Monday, December 21 or Tuesday, December 22nd as a part of their learning day. Their classroom teacher will be sharing the link for Sing-Along out with families. In preparation, your child will be making a jingle bell instrument during the Seesaw Specialist lesson. Please be sure he/she has the bell available for the Sing-Along.

Library Books Overdue

Any books your child may still have in their possession is considered overdue and needs to be returned at the December 16th pickup. If you wish to drop off your books earlier, there is a large blue book return bin in our lobby they can use any time during building hours.

Health Office Covid Information

From the Health Office:

During this time of distance learning, we are encouraging both staff and students to continue reporting illnesses and positive COVID test results to the Snail Lake Health Office: 651-621-8004. Although the Minnesota Department of Health does call the homes of those who test positive for COVID, they are currently backlogged given the rapid increase in cases recently. When you contact the Health Office, we will assist you with calculating quarantine and isolation dates, and provide information to help you with contact tracing and provide a connection with knowledgeable staff who can help answer questions you may have.

Minnesota has also enhanced testing availability. Here is some additional information about available testing:

At-home COVID-19 saliva testing

Minnesota offers free, at-home COVID-19 saliva testing for people who believe they need to be tested, with or without symptoms. Right now, families can order up to five test kits per household. Families will be asked if they have insurance, but the state will cover the costs for any uninsured or underinsured families. You should not receive a bill using this testing option. Order your at-home test here.

COVID-19 community testing sites

All COVID-19 testing is free at Minnesota Department of Health community testing events. We are always planning more community testing events across the state, working together with communities to make sure everyone can get tested. Tests are free for everyone, and no identification or insurance is required.

Attendance and Covid reporting

Attendance in Distance Learning:

While learning at home, attendance will be determined based on student attendance in live meets, communication with your child's teacher through email or phone, and the completion of assigned work in SeeSaw. Please continue to report any COVID-related illnesses to the school attendance line for tracking purposes.

While in distance learning, it is important to notify the health office if you or your family has a positive COVID case or an exposure. Should we transition back to a hybrid model at anytime, it is important for the office to know of anyone in quarantine or isolation during that transition. The direct health office number is 651-621-8004. To reach the attendance line please call 651-621-8001.
