Robison Elementary Rocket Register

2017-2018 BACK-TO-SCHOOL EDITION (Updated September 8)

Welcome Back, Again!

We are so excited to welcome all of our Rockets this Monday, September 11! We are ready to #catchthespirit! Please notice a few updates since the Rocket Register was published a couple of weeks ago. A new edition will be sent to all parents the first Friday of each month. Be on the lookout for the September edition this Friday.

Harvey FAQ

An FAQ regarding Hurricane Harvey is available on our district web site, Our staff is here to support you in any way that we are able. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if we can assist you in any way.

Meet the Teachers

In case you haven't had a chance to check out these introductory videos of our teachers, please take a moment to learn some personal information about them! Just click on "Robison Staff" to see.

Lunch Visitors

We ask for your cooperation in allowing our teachers time to establish lunchroom routines before we add lunch visitors to our plate. Those routines should be established and we should be able to accommodate visitors beginning on Monday, September 18. Please arrive earlier than usual due to our new visitor scanning system. ALL guests will need their driver's license and will be scanned for any visits throughout the school.

During lunch visits, parents and their child only have a designated table where they may eat.

Transportation Reminders

*Please have your child follow their regular mode of transportation beginning with the very first day of school. We have extra hands on the first day to make sure that all students have assistance finding their classroom on the first day. We won't have this extra help on the second day.

*If your child is a bus rider, riding the bus the first day allows the transportation department to have an accurate count for the number of students on their route. Bus buddies are available for some of our buses on the first few days to assist the driver with making sure students are getting off at the correct stop.

*Please limit transportation changes. If a change does need to be made, we request that a written note is sent with your student that morning so there is adequate time to complete the paperwork and communicate this change to the teacher.

*The safety of your child is incredibly important to us. We appreciate your support in following these guidelines.

New Student Registration

If you have a child that will be new to Robison this year, we look forward to seeing you August 15-18 from 8 am to 3 pm for new student registration. Students that were rezoned from Ault or Keith do not need to register their child; however, if your child attended another CFISD school, you will need to come for registration. Please bring the following items:
  • Certified copy of the child’s birth certificate from the Bureau of Vital Statistics (see City of Houston Bureau of Vital Statistics to obtain a birth certificate if born in the city of Houston).
  • Current immunization record.
  • Proof of residency (a current electric, gas, or water bill or a lease agreement). The parent/guardian must provide their current light, gas or water bill in addition to their lease agreement for proof of address if they are leasing.
  • Social security card for each child, if available.
  • Photo ID of parent or guardian.

The new student registration forms are available here if you'd like to complete them prior to registration day. We will have paper copies on hand as well.

School Supplies

If you did not already order your child's school supplies through EPI, here is the list. Online orders are no longer being accepted, and supplies are not sold at school. You may bring your child's supplies with you on August 24 during "Meet the Teacher" to keep your child from having to bring them on the first day. Those that ordered supplies online will have the supplies delivered directly to your child's classroom.
