September at Woodbrook
Happy Fall!
Dear Woodbrook Families,
It was wonderful meeting with you all at kindergarten orientation and our back to school nights!
The children have already accomplished a great deal! They have done a wonderful job acclimating to their classes, lunch and recess. We are so happy to have a full school of beautiful children everyday!
Our PTO has already jumped into action with our T-shirt sale, snacks for kindergarten orientation, PTO membership drive and the start of PTO clubs! The PTO sponsored Book Fair is now upon us! Scroll down for details.
We are hoping that EVERYONE will join the PTO which supports our school in so many ways - from purchasing books to providing clubs, assemblies and subsidizing field trips to the soon to be upgraded electric sign to help support communication with parents!
Please join the PTO by paying the dues for your family and please sign up to volunteer. You can volunteer for something small or you can volunteer as much as you would like. There is always something to do! Scroll down for details!
Students in grades 4 & 5 will have the results of their NJSLA standardized tests mailed home this week. They will also be uploaded into your parent portal shortly. Please look for the document in the mail IF your child took the test here at Woodbrook last year.
PTO Clubs will begin the week of October 3. Please see your exact dates on the website.
Fiddle Club, Coding Club, Odyssey of the Mind, Newspaper, Art Murals & Debate club may have different start dates. Please see the website for your club's specific start date.
As we move into the fall weather, please be sure your child has an umbrella for rainy days if they are walkers/car riders. Teach them how to open and close them & to be aware of people around them while their umbrellas are open.
One reminder...hats and hoods are not to be worn in school. Please remind your child to remove hats and hoods while in the building.
Enjoy the long weekend ahead and wishing everyone a happy and sweet new year as we celebrate Rosh Hashanah!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Cirillo
