AMITY International Intern

We are excited to continue our partnership with AMITY, and for the 2022-23 school year, we will be welcoming an intern from Colombia. If you are interested in hosting our intern at your house, please contact Denise LaFramboise or (760)934-7545 x302 for additional information. Hosting an intern is a great opportunity!

CAASPP Testing Administration

Our annual state testing for students in grades 3-5 will take place the week of May 23, 2022. Testing for most students will take place starting Monday through Thursday. Fifth graders will also test on Friday. If you have questions as to your child's specific schedule, please be in touch with your child's teacher. Also, many teachers will be looking for classroom snacks to be brought in that day.

May is Bring Literacy to Life Month at MES

The MES Literacy Committee has planned a number of fun events and activities for students and staff to celebrate literacy during the month of May. We have our book fair and Open House planned for this month as well with daily activities relating to literacy. We're looking forward to bringing literacy to life here on campus. Ask your child what they have done to participate.

Field Trips

Many of our MES students have field trips planned for this month. Please be on the lookout for permission slips from your child's teachers. We have to have signed permission slips when students leave campus.

Parking Lot Etiquette

Please slow down in the MES driveway. Use courteous language, and please, please pull to the top of the driveway before stopping to let your child out of your vehicle.

MES Best Practices

At MES, we incorporate number sense routines and Daily 5 & CAFE into our daily instruction. We follow the school expectations with Husky Pup PAWS.

COVID Guidance and Flowcharts

We have had a number of positive COVID cases at MES recently. Please keep your children home if they are ill, and remember to read the flowchart guidelines (below) when you or your child are experiencing COVID symptoms.
