FAST Team
Here are our latest metrics.
We are still interviewing for a FASL position.
Until we hire a new FASL, Kim Jones works with K-5. Cynthia Perry works with 7-9, and Kelly Cruse works with 10-12 and 6.
Next week, we will begin FAST/Teacher collaboration times at 8 AM on Wednesdays and Thursdays. If you have a student you'd like to discuss, please join us at that time. You should see an invitation on your CC schedule.
Teachers, from time to time, you may receive a Pulse Check call follow-up assignment. We try to handle these; however, there are times that the comment or request falls directly to the homeroom, content teachers, or special education teachers. When you are assigned, I will send detailed instructions on how to complete the call, which TVS template to use for the call, and when the call is due. PLEASE make sure you complete these calls and do thorough follow-up. Not only do we receive metrics for these calls, but following up helps us retain more students and offers the students and learning coaches the support they need.
FASLs are still calling all new students. DSP 1 students are getting calls for 3 weeks. We are still having new student orientations on Mondays and Wednesdays at 3 and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8. We also still have Live Help each day, M-Th, at 12.
High School Platform Support: All 6, 7, and 8th grade students have been invited to FAST Live Help. Please direct them to come to live help if they have questions about navigating the platform. You can also share this video with them.
We are having a Live Help specifically for attendance questions each Tuesday at 11. Please let Sarah Burnett or Annemarie know if you have any students who need help with attendance specifically.
Here are directions for creating a FAST referral. You must have recent phone contacts or contact attempts before you submit a referral. Please remember to send a teacher referral letter (you can find it in the FAST Referrals Smore) once you have created a referral for the student AND complete this note:
